The CCWEP, founded in 2010, offers the many talented wedding & event professionals in the area an opportunity to get to know each other and to learn new skills that will support your success. Most of our members are either solo-entrepreneurs or part of small creative businesses. Our community offers a huge, friendly network of colleagues and resources right here in the Charlottesville area.
CCWEP events (social and educational) are a great way to get to know other industry professionals, to share information about your services, form collaborative relationships and become a part of this community that is always growing and changing. Lisa Skillman Watson
Lisa grew up on a small farm in central New Jersey, surrounded by horse country. Shortly after high school, she moved to Virginia to attend Mary Baldwin College where she received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees, following which she relocated to Charlottesville where she has called home for the past 18+ years...

Claire, originally from New York City, co-founded the CCWEP in 2010 and is thrilled to now support Lisa in taking this incredible community into the future. Claire is in her 20th year of officiating weddings and other ceremonies … now almost 1300! She is also a wife, mother and, more recently, a grandmother to 2 sweet boys. ...
